In this 1059th crime scene episode, Dresden investigators Sieland, Gorniak and Schnabel investigate their sixth case. It is the last case with Alwara Höfels in the role of Henni Sieland.

action

The 22-year-old student Doro Meisner is strangled in the parking lot of a Dresden club. The investigations of the inspectors Henni Sieland and Karin Gorniak show that it is the act of revenge by a group of men who were all betrayed by Doro alias "Birdy" in an online dating portal. It quickly turns out that Doro Meisner had not cheated on anyone herself, but that the portal operator had hacked into her profile and approached Doro's acquaintances in this way.

When looking for perpetrators, Sieland and Gorniak concentrate on the members of the Internet group “Vogeljäger”. After everyone has been summoned and checked by the police, two main suspects remain: Andreas Koch and Petrick Wenzel. In order to take a closer look at the two of them and to get evidence, Sieland and Gorniak go to the online dating portal themselves and make a very specific appointment with the two candidates. Sieland Petrick Wenzel and Gorniak Andreas Koch took over, as they did not meet in this constellation in the police headquarters. After Wenzel behaved conspicuously on the first date and the inspector discovered crime scene photos on his cell phone, she arrested him. Karin Gorniak comes in handy because she likes Koch and is about to fall in love with him. She only becomes skeptical when she discovers a red sports car in Koch's garage, which was seen at the scene that night and which Koch's employee fatally falls after he tried to confide something about Koch to her.

According to Wenzels statement, he only followed Doro Meisner specifically in order to claim his money back from her. So he followed her to the parking lot, where he found her dead and, to his personal satisfaction, took the photos of the dead. Since the evidence was insufficient to keep Wenzel in custody, he was released again, where he ended up hanging himself in his house. On a suicide note, he makes an apparent admission of guilt, but Henni Sieland has doubts. That they are justified is shown when Gorniak meets again with Koch and he now reveals his psychopathic side. In the firm belief that all women always leave him, he wants to punish and kill them. Gorniak can only escape Koch with difficulty and overpowers him together with Sieland, who has rushed to her aid. In the scuffle, Koch falls to his death over a railing.

Reviews

Heike Hupertz from the FAZ said: “'Who is alone now?' […] Is about the most intimate injuries, but the film doesn’t care about any warnings about the abyss of internet dating. Its dramatic course of action is completely undidactic. Wherever pragmatism is required when looking for a partner, it creates erotic tension. Where a poor pig can be exposed, it shows a lost one who, with infinite helplessness, misunderstands the rules of the game of distance and attraction. [...] The erotic crime dilemma is then cleared up somewhat abruptly and unfortunately too factually and appropriately. "

At Spiegel Online Christian Buß said : “Warn about the dangers of internet flirtation? Problematize digital mating habits? Complain about the anonymization of love in the age of Tinder and Co.? Not really. Instead of a big socio-political surcharge, this "crime scene" uses the social media topic as an accelerator for an efficient scare-mongering crime thriller. ”Conclusion:“ Despite weaknesses in the drawing of the characters: a robust genre piece that fluctuates between cheerful and threatening. Surprise: Saxony can shock. "

Matthias Dell von der Zeit came to the conclusion: “In the pathetic epilogue, the farewell to Henni Sieland is proclaimed as a life crisis. In the solemn pauses in the conversation with your colleague, you would like to fast-forward, because the experience of the mediocre film could not possibly have led to the deep impression that would give Sieland the job on the nail. " If Dresden Tatort 'is a successful project, they have nothing to do with art. "
