The musician Toni Derlinger, part of the formerly successful folk music duo Toni and Tina , is found slain during the rehearsals for the popular hit show "Here is the music" in the Dresden Zwinger . The inspectors Karin Gorniak and Henni Sieland, together with the police trainee Maria Mohr, start their investigations into the supposedly ideal world of light entertainment music.
The first clues that lead to the duo's manager , Rollo Marquardt, are quickly found . The organizer of the concert series, Maik Pschorrek, and the Schlager fan Walther Ungerland are also suspects. When a Golden Hen , with which Marquardt was once awarded, is identified as a murder weapon, he is arrested. Meanwhile, trainee Maria uncovered another fact - there is a sexual connection between the murdered man and Albert, the singer of the folk music band Heartbreaker . In addition, Toni's manuscript of his memoirs has disappeared. Since Sieland and Gorniak, as well as their superiors Schnabel, don't listen to Maria, she goes alone to a meeting with Albert in a Dresden shopping center. Anton tries to give Maria the manuscript of the autobiography with which Toni wanted to make his homosexual relationship public. Both are provided by the remaining members of the heartbreaker . A little later Albert is seriously injured and Maria is found dead by Sieland and Gorniak.
The commissioners portray the band members as the murderers of Maria after a chase. Gorniak also discovers that Tina had planned a solo career under Maik Pschorrek's management. Tina admits to having killed Toni in an argument.

The film was shot in Dresden from September 15, 2015 to October 15, 2015.
In a television sequence, Stefan Mross and the musicians from Voxxclub can be seen as themselves. A fan photo by Walther Ungerland (actor: Michael Specht ) also shows Achim Mentzel , who died shortly before the episode was broadcast.
The sung songs Mein Sachsen , I can be strong , Mein Schatz and The highest mountains were composed by Francesco Wilking & Patrick Reising (from the band Tele ).
