Reviews

“Director Richard Huber had previously shot the weimar's comically twisted ' Tatort ' , screenwriter Ralf Husmann is the creator of 'Stromberg' and 'Tatortreiniger' and was recently nominated for the Grimme Prize for the show-off comedy ' Beware of People '. Nevertheless, their joint film did not become another comedy 'crime scene'. Rather, the two succeed in capturing the Dresden attitude towards life between a brutal commitment to homeland and bumming overhead. [...] This Dresden 'Tatort' has become a strong debut. A palatable greeting to a parallel society that only the MDR can show in all its glory and wickedness. "

“The whole misery of this mélange of cartoon characters in a pseudo-critical environment shows itself in Martin Brambach as the eternal boss of the women's trio. The poor man, as well as he plays it nicely, should now, together with his folk music ringtone, stand for the overwhelmed old white men who cannot really keep up with today's times and who no longer understand the world. As modern as this film tries to be, in the end it shows one thing in a painful way: that those responsible at MDR simply cannot keep up with today's times and no longer understand the world. "

“The new 'Tatort' from Dresden is first class and casually told. If only there wasn't this over-ambition. [...] In the Dresden Tatort they noticeably don't want to bring the old shit again, so: copy the Münster crime scene . For the people of Dresden it's about playing with the cliché, but not surrendering to the cliché. "
