Johannes Müller (politician, 1785)

Johannes Müller jun. (* August 14, 1785 in Bensheim ; † January 10, 1867 ibid) was a Hessian tannery owner and politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Johannes Müller was the son of the red tanner master Johannes Müller sen. and his wife Anna Maria, née Horschler. Müller, who was a Catholic, was a tannery owner and wine merchant in Bensheim. On September 10, 1811, he married Elisabeth, born in Bensheim, Starck (1798–1812). After her death he married her sister Margarethe (1787–1821) on November 23, 1812. On May 26, 1823, he married Jeanette, nee Guntrum (1804-1852), the daughter of the innkeeper "To the golden crown" in Auerbach, Wilhelm Guntrum.

From 1851 to 1856 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 4 / Bensheim . He was also a member of the city council in Bensheim.
