Bernhard Krauss

Bernhard (us) Joseph Krauss (born January 9, 1810 in Fürth (Odenwald) ; † February 19, 1875 in Bensheim ) was a Hessian doctor and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Bernhard Krauss was the son of the Grand Ducal Hessian Bailiff Franz Aloys Ignaz Krauss (1770-1824) and his wife Amalie Philippina , née Weber (1777-1861). Krauss, who was a Catholic, married Margaretha nee Heckler (1815–1869).

Krauss studied medicine and was awarded a Dr. med. PhD. He was a general practitioner in Bensheim, where he was also a poor doctor and hospital doctor.

From 1849 to 1850 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 4 / Bensheim .
