Johann Sebald Baumeister

Johann Sebald Baumeister (born October 2 or October 3, 1775 or 1777 in Augsburg , † March 9, 1829 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) was a miniature painter and draftsman.

Samuel Baumeister's son worked as a drawing teacher in Schwäbisch Gmünd from 1803. He made a name for himself with city and landscape views of the Gmünder area and with copies of historical portrait series.

Johann Sebald Baumeister was the father of the animal painter Johann Wilhelm Baumeister (1804–1846).
