Johann Weyringer

Johann Weyringer (* 1949 in Sighartstein , Neumarkt am Wallersee ) is an Austrian painter, sculptor and architect.

Life

From 1964 to 1970, Johann Weyringer completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and completed his master craftsman examination at the HTBLA Hallein . From 1970 to 1976 he studied architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna under Friedrich Janeba and from 1976 to 1978 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Roland Rainer (diploma). From 1976 to 1981 Weyringer worked on various construction projects for commercial and residential buildings in Salzburg, East Tyrol and Burgenland.

Weyringer is a painter in the focus of his artistic work, but also works with architecture, wall painting, stage design, glass painting, ceramics, graphics and stone carving. He had long periods of work in Rome, Morocco, Cuba, the South Pacific, India, the USA, Indonesia and southern Africa.

Weyringer has his studio in Sighartstein with a permanent exhibition.
