Johann Wilhelm Reinbeck

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Johann Wilhelm Reinbeck (born March 8, 1691 in Lüneburg , † August 24, 1764 in Neuhaus an der Elbe ) was a German bailiff .

Origin and life

Reinbeck was born in 1691 as the son of Margaretha, née Raabe (* July 26, 1661; † around 1710), and the Mayor of Lüneburg Johann Reinbeck (* January 15, 1640 in Lüneburg; † July 2, 1704 there) and on March 8 Baptized in Lüneburg in 1691. He had a half-sister from his father's first marriage, Anna Margarete Reinbeck (* around 1666 in Lüneburg), who was married to the princely cellic secret secretary Christoph Heinrich Heldberg (* April 30, 1654), son of the cell archivist Heinrich Heldberg ( * April 28, 1608 in Uelzen ; † May 19, 1678 in Celle ). Another half-sister was Sophie Rosina Reinbeck († 1728; also called Rosie Sophie Scott ), who was married to the princely body medic Robert Scott in Celle. Johann Wilhelm Reinbeck's grandfather was the imperial notary Andreas Reinbeck (* 1615; † after 1660 Lüneburg) and he probably came from the same family as the theologian Johann Gustav Reinbeck .

Reinbeck was a lawyer and in 1729 became a clerk in the Kraak and Sülstorf office . In 1740, after the death of the previous bailiff Gustav Ernst Schmidt (1691–1739), he moved to Neuhaus as a clerk . In 1750 he was promoted to senior bailiff there and he remained in Neuhaus until his death in 1764. His grandson and his brother-in-law held the mayor's office of the city of Verden for a total of 40 years (Reinbeck's grandson, Johann Wilhelm Conrad Brüel, from 1797, his brother-in-law, Carl Christian Münchmeyer, from 1806 to 1837).

Family and offspring

He was probably married twice: (1) around 1723 ⚭ NN; (2) around 1730 ⚭ Sara Theodora von Ramdohr (* around 1708; † around 1756), daughter of Melchior Albrecht von Ramdohr (* August 8, 1678 Celle; † May 29, 1727 Bardowick), bailiff of Scharnebeck, and Anna Sophia Eberfeld (born September 22, 1679 in Helmstedt).
