Johann Wilhelm von Bourscheidt zu Büllesheim and Merödgen (* 1728 ; † March 1, 1784 in Münster ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and canon in Münster .

Life

Johann Wilhelm von Bourscheidt zu Büllesheim and Merödgen came from the Middle Moselle nobility of Bourscheid , which took its name from Bourscheid Castle . He was the son of Caspar Maximilian Friedrich Arnold von Bourscheidt and his wife Maria Anna Barbara Catharina von Hompesch . In 1757 he received a cathedral praise from the Elector and was sworn up here on June 29, 1757 . Johann Wilhelm was considered a close confidante of the canon Caspar Ferdinand Droste zu Füchten . In the election of the prince-bishop in 1762, however, he chose a different candidate. Bribes may have made the difference. In 1773 he was appointed deputy to the Landespfennigkammer. He was subdeacon and owner of the archdeaconate in Stadtlohn and Südlohn as well as the Oblegium Gronover majus and the obedience Blasii sive Sommersehl . He was buried on March 3, 1784 in Münster Cathedral.
