Johannes Emil Kuntze

Johannes Emil Kuntze (born November 25, 1824 in Grimma ; † February 11, 1894 in Leipzig ) was a German lawyer and university professor .

Life

He was a son of the teacher Johannes Gottlieb Kuntze and his wife Emilie geb. Fechner in Grimma. The politician Oskar Theodor Kuntze was a younger brother of his. Since 1834, Kuntze was raised by his uncle Gustav Theodor Fechner . From 1843 to 1847 Kuntze studied law in Leipzig . From 1847 to 1851 he worked as a notary in Paris.

On October 23, 1851 Kuntze was with the writing "In obligationibus bilaterlibus ad utrum contrahentium obligationis periculum pertineat?" Doctorate ; In the same year he completed his habilitation in Leipzig with the thesis “In systemate juris civilis hodierni doctrina de jure tutelae num juri obligationum adscribenda sit?” and in 1856 became an associate professor and in 1869 a full professor of law. The lawyer was a co-founder of the Inner Mission Leipzig .
