Johannes Luithle

Johannes Luithle (born December 11, 1968 in Marbach am Neckar ) is a German Protestant theologian , pastor of the Württemberg regional church and director of the Liebenzeller Mission since 2018 .

Life

Luithle grew up in Ludwigsburg . As a teenager, he was involved in the youth group of the EC Association and in the local Liebenzell community . The civil service in a parish in Stuttgart strengthened his interest in theology. For a few months he worked in a home for Holocaust survivors in Ma'alot , Israel. He then studied Protestant theology in Stuttgart , Tübingen and Jerusalem . After his vicariate in the parish of Wart- Ebershardt , after completing the second theological exam in 2002, he took up the pastor's position in Untermünkheim -Enslingen. Between 2010 and 2017 he was parish pastor in Schömberg , Oberlengenhardt and Langenbrand. During this time he was chairman of the health care association "Menschen haben Menschen eV Schömberg". In January 2018 he took up the position of director of the Liebenzeller Mission, one of the largest German mission societies.

Luithle was theological consultant at the Gospel Ministry for Israel from 1997 to 2000 and its honorary chairman between 2015 and 2018. He is co-editor of the " Losungen in Originalachen", which has been published since 1995 , whose slogan from the Old Testament can be read in Hebrew and the teaching text from the New Testament in Greek, as well as German translation aids for the respective daily texts.

He is married to his wife Andrea and has three children.
