Johannes Söllner

Johannes Söllner (born April 22, 1983 in Augsburg ) is a German composer and musician .

life and work

Johannes Söllner studied school music , rhythmics and music theory as well as mathematics at the Freiburg University of Music from 2002 to 2009 and attended the improvisation master class at the “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” University of Music in Leipzig . Afterwards he worked at the music academies in Freiburg and Karlsruhe as a lecturer for music theory, ear training , improvisation, piano playing and arrangement .

Johannes Söllner's compositional work is diverse and characterized by a wide range of styles. He writes for chamber ensembles, bands, choirs and orchestras for concerts as well as for film, radio drama and theater. In doing so, he makes use of both historical composition and composition techniques from contemporary E and light music.

His compositions appear with Helbling, Peermusic Classical , Edition Margaux and Scholing. Interpreters of his works include Spark , The Twiolins , the Orchester d'Auvergne, Martin Schmeding and Heike Matthiesen .
