Johannes Schild (born October 16, 1960 in Rüdesheim am Rhein ) is a German composer and conductor .

Life

Johannes Schild studied composition and music theory at the music academies in Detmold and Würzburg with Dietrich Manicke and Zsolt Gárdonyi and conducting with David de Villiers . He is professor of composition , composition and music theory at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and lecturer at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
