Johannes Tratter (born October 21, 1962 in Hall in Tirol ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and lawyer. He has been a regional councilor in the Tyrolean regional government Platter II and Platter III since 2012 .

education and profession

Tratter first attended the elementary school in Hall and then also completed the Hall secondary school. He then continued his education at the musical P ORG in Volders and studied law at the University of Innsbruck between 1989 and 1993 , where his interest in public law was aroused. He also completed his judicial year in 1994 and entered the service of the state of Tyrol in 1995, initially in the civil law department of the state of Tyrol and as head of division at the Schwaz district administration. From 1997 he worked for three years in the office of Governor Wendelin Weingartner , before moving to the Kufstein district administration as district captain in 2000 . He was active there for six years before becoming head of the economics and labor department at the office of the Tyrolean provincial government on January 1, 2006. Until 2010 he also worked there as a group chairman and senior official in the departments of economy and labor, finance, the municipal department, the tourism department, housing subsidies, building and regional planning law and regional planning statistics. Tratter worked in this role until 2010.

Politics and functions

Tratter took over the office of mayor of Hall in Tirol in March 2010 and on March 8, 2012, succeeded Christian Switak in a secret ballot with 27 out of 36 votes, to the regional councilor for community affairs , village renewal, building law, spatial planning, reallocation of building land , public relations, and citizenship matters , Foundation and Fund Management in the Platter I state government . Private

Tratter was active in the Tyrolean Military Music until he was 27 and played the flute. He is married for the second time and has a daughter from his first marriage.
