John Bertram Peterson

John Bertram Peterson (born July 15, 1871 in Salem , Massachusetts , USA ; † March 15, 1944 ) was an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Manchester .

Life

John Bertram Peterson received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Boston on September 15, 1899 .

Pope Pius XI appointed him on October 7, 1927 titular bishop of Hippos and auxiliary bishop in Boston. The Archbishop of Boston, William Henry Cardinal O'Connell , donated him episcopal ordination on November 10 of that year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Manchester , George Albert Guertin , and the Bishop of Portland , John Gregory Murray .

On May 13, 1932, Pope Pius XI appointed him. to the Bishop of Manchester.
