John Cookman
John Emory Cookman (born September 2, 1909 in Englewood , New Jersey , † August 19, 1982 in Plattsburgh , New York ) was an American ice hockey player .
Career
John Cookman first attended the Phillips Exeter Academy. He then studied at Yale University , where he graduated in 1931. He was Vice President of Benson & Hedges when the company was bought by Philip Morris in 1954 . From 1963 to 1978 he was on the board of directors of Philip Morris. He was named the company's chief financial officer in 1967 before becoming senior vice president in 1970.
International
For the USA Cookman took part in the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , where he and his team won the silver medal. He himself scored two goals in five games.
