Life

Croxall is the son of Harold Eli and Marjorie Croxall, nee Jones. His partner is the British ornithologist Alison Jane Stattersfield . After leaving school in Newcastle-upon-Tyne from 1952 to 1957 and in Birmingham 1957-1964 studied Croxall at Queen's College of the University of Oxford , where he 1968 Bachelor graduated in zoology of Arts. In 30 years, Croxall's department has developed into one of the world's leading groups that researches the interactions of seabirds and seals on their prey and the environment as well as the effects of human activity on the ecological balance in Antarctica. Numerous studies have examined the key role played by seabirds and marine mammals as consumers of marine resources. New insights into the feeding behavior and diving capacities of the species examined expanded our knowledge of the migration of penguins, seals and sea birds.
