John Gilbert (born 20th century in Toledo , Ohio ) is an American film editor and former bowler .

life and work

In the 1980s, John Gilbert was active as a professional bowler. After his sporting career, he successfully completed a bachelor's degree in film studies at California State University, Long Beach, and in 1987 found work as an assistant editor for the production company Cannon Films . From 1991 to 1996 he worked as an independent editor at Concorde Pictures, where he was responsible for editing B-movies such as Adventure in the Wild , The Terror Project and Return of the Piranha . From 1998 to 2002 he was editor of the television series VIP - Die Bodyguards for three seasons . For this he received a Daytime Emmy Award in 2001 together with Roderick Davis and Tad Nyland .
