John Haglelgam
John Richard Haglelgam (born August 10, 1949 on Eauripik , Yap ) is a Micronesian politician and was the second President of the Federated States of Micronesia .
Haglelgam attended the University of Hawaii , which he graduated in 1973 with a degree in political science . From 1974 he was a member of the parliament of his home state. He served as president to succeed the late Tosiwo Nakayama from May 5, 1987 to May 15, 1991, the year in which his re-election failed. Haglelgam then worked at the "College of Micronesia - FSM" and then at the "John Fitzgerald Kennedy School of Government" at Harvard University as a politics and history teacher.
Haglelgam is married and has three children.
