John Jarvis (production designer)
John Jarvis (born before 1945) is a British art director and production designer who was nominated for an Oscar for best production design.
Life
Jarvis began his career as an art director and set designer in the film industry in 1945 in the adventure drama Die Frau ohne Herz (The Wicked Lady, 1945) by Leslie Arliss with Margaret Lockwood , James Mason and Patricia Roc .
At the Oscar ceremony in 1954 he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Production Design nominated, either together with Alfred Junge and Hans O. Peters for by Richard Thorpe staged feature film The Knights of the Round Table (Knights of the Round Table, 1953) with Robert Taylor as Lancelot , Ava Gardner as Guinevere and Mel Ferrer as King Arthur .
Jarvis worked on the production of 25 films until 1975.
