John Kosgei

John Kosgei (born July 13, 1973 ) is a former Kenyan obstacle and cross-country runner .

On September 1, 1996, he was the pacemaker with Daniel Komen's world record in the 3000 meter run of 7: 20.67 minutes.

At the World Cross Country Championships in Turin in 1997 , he finished 47th in the long distance.

In 1998 he was fifth on the short distance at the World Cross Country Championship in Marrakech . Over 3000 m obstacle he finished second at the Goodwill Games and won the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur .

At the 1999 World Cross Country Championships in Belfast, he was eighth on the short distance.
