John McCook
John Thomas McCook (born June 20, 1944 in Ventura , California ) is an American actor and singer .
Life
John McCook grew up in Ventura and was seen in theatrical productions while in school . He worked in various theater and musical performances before he was hired in 1976 for the television series Shadows of Passion . There he gained popularity in the role of Lance Prentiss . After leaving in 1980, he made a few films and met his future series colleague Susan Flannery , who played the role of Stephanie Douglas Forrester in Reich und Schön .
In 1986 McCook was hired by William J. Bell for his new series Rich and Beautiful . Alongside Flannery, he is the first actor to be hired for the series and, along with Katherine Kelly Lang, is one of the two actors in the series who have been with the series since the first episode. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2001 for his portrayal of Eric Forrester .
McCook likes to sing and has already shown this hobby in the series. In 1994 his CD John McCook sings Bold & Beautiful Love Songs was released, which made it into the European Top 20.
McCook has been married to Laurette Spang for the third time since 1980 , with whom he has two daughters and a son. He also has a son from his second marriage to Juliet Prowse .
