John Riccitiello, EA CEO

John Riccitiello (* 1958 in the USA) is an American manager and CEO of Unity Technologies . From 2007 to 2013 he was CEO of Electronic Arts (EA), the world's second largest publisher and developer for video and computer games.

Life and career

He attended the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley. Riccitiello has worked at numerous different companies and other organizations, including The Clorox Company as Brand Manager, PepsiCo as Group Marketing Director, Häagen-Dazs as Managing Director , Wilson Sporting Goods as President and Chief Executive Officer and Sara Lee Corporation, also serving as President and Chief Executive Officer.

From October 1997 to 2004 he worked as Chief Operating Officer at EA. He then left EA and co-founded the financial investor Elevation Partners. Under his leadership, the investor took over the two computer game developers BioWare and Pandemic Studios . In 2007 Riccitiello moved back to EA, where he succeeded long-term managing director Larry Probst as CEO and President in the same year . Riccitiello resigned on March 30, 2013. On October 22, 2014, he took over the position of CEO at Unity Technologies, the manufacturer of the Unity engine.
