John Zeiler (born November 21, 1982 in Jefferson Hills , Pennsylvania ) is an American ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Kassel Huskies in the DEL2 .
Career
John Zeiler began his career as a hockey player with the Sioux City Musketeers, for which he was active in the United States Hockey League from 2000 to 2002 . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2002 in the fifth round as a total of 132nd player from the Phoenix Coyotes , for which he however never played. After the attacker was on the ice from 2002 to 2006 for St. Lawrence University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association , he ended the 2005/06 season as a free agent at San Antonio Rampage from the American Hockey League . In the summer of 2006, Zeiler initially received a contract with the AHL team Manchester Monarchs , whose cooperation partner, the Los Angeles Kings , signed him during the 2006/07 season . For the Kings he was regularly used in the NHL in the following years. For the 2011/12 season , Zeiler was signed by the Augsburg Panthers from the German Ice Hockey League . On March 7, 2012 it was announced that he had extended his contract for the 2012/13 season. For the 2014/15 season , Zeiler moved to the DEL2 to the Kassel Huskies .
