Jon'Vea J'Qyay Johnson (* 23. December 1995 in Gary , Indiana ) is an American American football poker players. He plays the position of wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL).

Career

Johnson attended the University of Toledo from 2014 to 2019 , where he played college football for the Toledo Rockets . After sitting out his first season as a red shirt, he played twelve games in 2015, one of them from the start. He caught eight passes for 101 yards . The following season he caught 40 passes for 773 yards and ten touchdowns , for which he was elected to the second team All-MAC . In 2017, he scored five touchdowns and 689 yards on 42 passes caught. As a senior, he caught 32 passes for 660 yards and nine touchdowns. For this he was elected to the third team All-MAC . In total, he caught 125 passes for 2,265 yards. The 24 touchdowns caught were the fourth most in school history.

After Johnson was not selected in the 2019 NFL Draft , the Dallas Cowboys signed him . After a shoulder injury in the last preseason game, he was placed on the Injured Reserve List . Prior to the start of the training camp in the 2020 season , Johnson was placed on the Reserve / Covid-19 list. On August 9, he was brought back to the active squad.

Personal

Johnson is the son of Jason Johnson , who played as a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos , New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers between 1988 and 1991 .
