Jonas Acquistapace (born June 18, 1989 in Hamm ) is a German soccer player . The central defender is under contract with SV Lippstadt 08 .

Career

Acquistapace started playing football at Soester SV at the age of three . About the youth of Prussia Werl and Rot Weiss Ahlen , he switched to the youth department of VfL Bochum , in whose second team he was active from 2008. Due to a lack of staff in central defense , he was appointed in the second half of the season by coach Friedhelm Funkel to the squad of the licensed team playing in the 2nd division , in which he will be in the away game against SC Paderborn 07 (0-0) on April 21, 2011 made the first game and was used for the entire season. In the 2011/12 season he became a regular player. At the beginning of February 2012 he signed a professional contract with VfL that ran until June 30, 2014. For the second half of the 2014/15 season Acquistapace was committed by SV Wehen Wiesbaden . He signed a contract until June 30, 2016, which was terminated in summer 2015. Acquistapace then moved to Halleschen FC and signed a contract valid until June 30, 2016. He played his first league game for HFC when he played against his ex-club SV Wehen Wiesbaden. He scored his first goal in professional football in the 78th minute in the home game of the first half of the 17th match day Hallescher FC against the Stuttgarter Kickers (1: 1). After the 2015/16 season he left Halle and was initially without a club. At the end of January 2017, the third division club FSV Zwickau announced the acquisition of Acquistapaces.

For the 2017/18 season, the central defender moved to league rivals Sportfreunde Lotte , with whom he signed a two-year contract. During the 2017/18 winter break, Acquistapace switched back to FSV Zwickau on January 1, 2018 . The contract was terminated at the end of the season because of "recruitment problems". After Acquistapace was initially without a club, the regional division SC Verl signed him in October 2018.

For the season 2019/20 Acquistapace joined SG Wattenscheid 09 . After the game operation of the men's team had been set on 23 October 2019, the players were from the insolvent club exempted .

At the beginning of January 2020, the defender signed a contract with SV Lippstadt 08 , which is valid until June 2021 and also competes in the Regionalliga West.

Origin of name

The name Acquistapace comes from its Italian ancestors who moved to Germany in the 18th century.
