Jonas Greiner

Jonas Greiner (born June 10, 1997 in Neuhaus am Rennweg ) is a German cabaret artist and stand-up comedian .

Career

Greiner grew up in Lauscha in the Thuringian Forest . During his primary school years he lived in Sonneberg , Berlin and Steinach until he later returned to his hometown Lauscha, where he still lives today. In 2015 he passed the Abitur at the State Gymnasium Neuhaus am Rennweg.

In 2016 he was on stage for the first time with his own short appearance at the handmade paper evening of the Lauscha Carneval Association. After further appearances in the carnival , he took part in the Grazer Kleinkunstvogel in 2017 , where he reached the final. Since then he has been touring Germany with regular gigs . In 2018 Greiner was seen at the NDR comedy contest. In 2019 he was awarded the "Güldenen August" as Newcomer of the Year by Olaf Schubert at the HumorZone Festival in Dresden , after winning the associated competition. His appearance at the final gala of the HumorZone could be seen in MDR and in Das Erste . In May 2019 he appeared at the SWR3 Comedy Festival in Bad Dürkheim . In February 2020 he finished third behind Jan van Weyde and Passun Azhand at the 18th Hamburg Comedy Cup .

Greiner jokingly describes himself as “Germany's greatest cabaret artist” because of his striking height of 2.07 m. His first solo program is called "In full length", the premiere was in October 2019.

Since 2019 he has been active in local politics for the left as a member of the district council in the Sonneberg district and city council in Lauscha . He was also a member of the SPD .
