Jonas Klemens (born February 18, 1994 ) is a German grass skier . He has competed in the World Cup since 2009 .

Career

After taking part in competitions in the German Cup for many years , Jonas Klemens has also competed in international races since the 2009 season. He contested his first FIS race on June 5, 2009 in Wilhelmsburg and the next day he made his debut there in the World Cup . In this super combination he only finished in 33rd and last place and until the end of the year he was not used in any other World Cup races. At the 2009 Junior World Championships in Horní Lhota u Ostravy , his best result was 18th place in the giant slalom. Giant slalom was also his strongest discipline at the 2010 Junior World Championships in Dizin . This time he finished 17th. In the 2010 season , Jonas Klemens took part in six of the eleven World Cup races. After three failures he won his first World Cup points with the 24th and last place in the Super Combined in Goldingen . But then he was twice without a result, which is why he only finished 56th in the overall World Cup, tied with his compatriot Nico Graneist .

In the 2011 season , Klemens' best World Cup result was 22nd place in the Super-G in Marbachegg . In the overall World Cup he finished 40th. At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Goldingen he was 19th in the giant slalom and in the Super-G, while he was disqualified in the slalom and thus remained without result in the combination. For the first time this year he also took part in a world championship in the general class, which was held together with the Junior World Championships. His only result was the 27th place in the Super-G. In the 2012 season , Klemens reached 19th place in the giant slalom of Předklášteří for the first time a top 20 result in the World Cup. In addition, by finishing tenth in the Urnäsch slalom, he made it into the top 10 in an FIS race for the first time. In the overall World Cup he improved to 37th place. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Burbach , Klemens mostly achieved placements in the lower midfield. His best result was 14th place in the slalom.
