Jonathan Penner

Jonathan Lindsay Penner (born March 5, 1962 in New York City , New York ) is an American actor and screenwriter .

Life

Penner began his career in 1989 with a guest role on the television series Hawk . The following year he starred alongside Susan Sarandon and James Spader in the drama Breakfast with her . In 1992 he got one of the leading roles in the sitcom Grapevine , which was discontinued after six episodes.

In 1993 he received an Academy Award nomination for his short film Down on the Waterfront , which he wrote and produced with his wife Stacy Title and in which he also worked as an actor. In the same year he was seen in the pilot of the sitcom The Nanny . He played the fiancé of the leading actress Fran Fine , who abandoned her and forced her to work as a nanny. Between 1995 and 1997 Penner played the role of Nick Columbus in the series The Naked Truth in 21 episodes ; Between 1998 and 2001 he starred in the sitcom Rude Awakening - Adults Only! .

In the United States, Penner is best known to television audiences through the reality show Survivor . He took part in the show as a candidate in 2006, 2008 and 2012.
