José Alejandro Nava Álvarez (born September 20, 1979 in Mexico City ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .

Life

Nava emerged from the youth department of Chivas Guadalajara , for which he made his debut in the Mexican Primera División on February 13, 2000 in the Mexican super classic against Club America (3-0) when he was substituted on in the 84th minute.

Nava had a real debut made to measure: in his first year as a professional in 2000, he was used in 19 point games and scored four goals; these even all in his first half season , the Clausura 2000. In the same year he also scored three goals in the Copa Merconorte ; a double in the 3-2 away win against the Estudiantes de Mérida and a "last minute goal" in the 3: 3 against Atlético Nacional . That same year, he also came in a friendly game of " senior national team of Mexico " against Iran (2: 1) for use after last year all five games for the U-20 national team at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship had completed .

But the number of his missions soon decreased rapidly and after he could not assert himself at the clubs Atlante and América based in his hometown , he played his last game in the highest Mexican league in 2002, before joining the lower-class Jaguares de Tapachula was playing.

The later high point of his career was winning the Guatemalan football championship with Juventud Escuintleca in the 2011 Apertura.
