José E. Colón
José E. Colón was a Puerto Rican politician and briefly acting governor of Puerto Rico in 1939 .
José Colón held the office of governor between June 25, 1939 and September 11 of the same year. He was the successor of the US President Franklin D. Roosevelt for abuse of office and other offenses (see Massacre of Ponce ) dismissed Governor Blanton Winship . Colón was followed by William Daniel Leahy .
