José Pablo Varela , full name José Pablo Varela Rebollo , (born May 29, 1988 in Florida , Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Depending on the sources, 1.77 meters or 1.78 meters tall "Rulo" Varela began his career in the youth of Club Atlético Florida and moved to Defensor Sporting Club in 2006 . In January 2007 he was promoted to Defensor's reserve and moved to Dinamo Bucharest on loan in September 2009 . In Romania, however, he did not get beyond the reserve role and returned to Uruguay after completing five games. From there he was awarded again by Defensor, this time his path led to Club Atlético Atenas . At the Maldonadian club he made his professional debut in the Primera Division on April 11, 2010 against Rampla Juniors FC . For the team from San Carlos , he played four first division games in the 2010 Clausura and scored two goals. Then he went to the Apertura of the season 2010/11 for the league competitor Bella Vista . There he was used in 55 Primera División games by the end of the 2011/12 season and scored nine times. In the meantime, Varela was in trial training at VfL Bochum from January 8, 2012 and was also used as a guest player by the Westphalia in the preparation for the second half. In the Apertura of the 2012/13 season, he was under contract with Danubio and completed eight first division games. In 2013 he now plays for the Ecuadorian club Liga de Loja in the Copa Pilsener . There he made 16 league appearances up to his last assignment on June 14, 2013. In July 2013, his move to Motagua in Honduras was announced. He signed a contract for two torneos. With the Hondurans he meets his compatriot Maximiliano Lombardi , who is represented by the same advisor as himself. He made his debut in the Honduran league on August 11, 2013, his first goal he scored on August 15, 2013. In total, he ran up to his last appearance on April 21, 2014 against CD Marathón 29 times for Motagua and scored seven goals. At Apertura 2014 he started working for the Uruguayan first division club Atlético Rentistas . There he was used 22 times (one goal) in the Primera División and once (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 in the 2014/15 season . In July 2015 he switched to league rivals Juventud , for whom he made 29 top division games (three goals) and four matches (no goal) of the 2015 Copa Sudamericana in the 2015/16 season . 13 personally goalless premier league appearances in the 2016 season have been followed by another league game (no goal) in the current 2017 season (as of February 9, 2017).
