Josbach [ˈjɔsbaχ] is one of six districts of the city of Rauschenberg in the Hessian district of Marburg-Biedenkopf . The village, through which the Josbach of the same name flows, is conveniently located on federal highway 3 between Marburg and Kassel .

On December 31, 1971, Josbach was incorporated into the town of Rauschenberg.

Since 2006 the place has been included in the village renewal program of the state of Hesse . In December 2010, the local heating supply for over 30 cooperative members started through the biogas plant of the Aussiedlerhof Staffel. Josbach thus bears the title "Bioenergy Village".

Josbach has a little over 400 inhabitants.

In addition to the choral society 1879 Deutsche Eiche, the volunteer fire brigade and the rifle club, there is the guitar group, the brass band, the Josbächer Flöhe, the beautification club and the youth club.
