Josef Frisch

Josef Frisch (born April 23, 1931 in Munich ) is a former German football player who was used for FC Bayern Munich in the Oberliga Süd and Borussia Neunkirchen in the Oberliga Südwest .

Career

Frisch was a defender of FC Bayern Munich from 1951 to 1955 , for whom he only played 13 friendly matches in his first season. In the 1952/53 season he made his debut at the age of 21 in the Oberliga Süd, the top division at the time; the league game on August 24, 1952 (1st matchday) in the away game against VfR Mannheim was lost 3-0. At the end of the season, his team finished seventh, to which he had contributed in 29 league games. In the two following seasons he played 17 and 18 league games, in which he also remained without a goal.

For the 1955/56 season he moved to Borussia Neunkirchen in the Oberliga Südwest.

For the club he played a qualifier to participate in the final round of the German Cup in 1958/59 , which, however, on 3 May 1959, 3: 6 against Werder Bremen , as well as the finale to the DFB Cup on 27 December 1959 in Kassel was lost 2: 5 to Schwarz-Weiß Essen . He also played six preliminary round matches in the final round of the German championship in 1959/60 .
