Josef Holub

Josef Holub (born September 7, 1926 in Nýrsko , Bohemian Forest, † July 4, 2010 in Grab ) was a German children's and young adult book author of Bohemian origin.

Life

Josef Holub trained as a teacher and administrator and worked a. a. as a brickworker, postman and councilor. His award-winning children's books were for the German Youth Literature Prize nominated and received twice the Zurich Children's Book Award La vache qui lit . Holub lived in Grab in the community of Großerlach . On July 3, 2008, Holub became an honorary citizen of Großerlach.
