Josef Lusser

Josef Lusser (born May 22, 1816 in Altdorf , † August 16, 1882 in Freiburg im Breisgau , entitled to live in Altdorf) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

biography

Lusser worked as an editor at Uri's weekly newspaper and was also a bookseller . From 1847 to 1854 he owned a lithographic business with Franz Jauch , as well as a devotional shop . From 1852 he worked as a post director in Lucerne .

In 1847, Lussier member of the provisional government of was Uri before he 1848-1852 Government was this canton. In his last year in office he was also governor .

After the death of his first wife, Josef Lusser moved to his country estate Lochhof in Lucerne. But he spent his last years abroad. He was considered an exponent of the bourgeois-liberal opposition movement around 1840 and was a pioneer of the Uri newspaper industry.
