Josef Moritz
Josef Moritz (born December 12, 1845 in Junkershausen ; † May 9, 1922 there ) was a farmer, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Moritz attended elementary school in Wargolshausen from 1852 to 1864 and then devoted himself to agriculture. From 1882 he was director of the Junkershausen volunteer fire brigade, which he founded . He served from 1870 to 1873 in the 5th Infantry Regiment in Bamberg and Germersheim . He was also a member of the Neustadt an der Saale district council and mayor of Junkershausen.
From 1893 to 1907 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Lower Franconia 4 ( Neustadt an der Saale , Brückenau , Mellrichstadt , Königshofen , Kissingen ) and the German Center Party . Between 1899 and 1918 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies .
