Josef Pichl
Josef Pichl (born March 19, 1914 in Schwandorf ; † January 12, 1996 ) was a German lawyer and local politician.
Career
Pichl studied law at the University of Munich from 1933 and continued his studies at the University of Würzburg from 1935 . In 1937 he passed the first state examination in law at the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court . In 1939 he completed his doctorate in Würzburg. From 1940 he worked as a court trainee, in 1954 he was appointed to the legal counsel.
Nominated by the CSU and the independent voters, Pichl was elected Lord Mayor of Schwandorf on March 23, 1958 . He was confirmed in office in 1964, 1970 and 1972. He did not run for the mayoral election in 1978.
Pichl had been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Aenania Munich since 1933 .
