Joseph Abeille
Joseph Abeille (born July 14, 1673 in Vannes , Bretagne , † 1756 ) was a French architect and hydraulic engineer .
In addition to rebuilding the burned down city of Rennes and participating in canal projects in France (including the Canal de Bourgogne ), he also worked in Geneva , Bern , Morges and Solothurn during two longer stays in Switzerland .
