Joseph Reader

Joseph Reader (born February 4, 1846 in Neubaumgarten ; † June 10, 1914 in Neuhausen ) was a Catholic clergyman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Readers attended the Lyceum in Ravensburg from 1859 to 1865 , the University of Tübingen from 1865 to 1869 and the seminary in Rottenburg from 1869–70 . He was vicar in Eisenharz , Wilflingen , Reichenbach (Oberamt Saulgau) and parish administrator himself . As such he was also in Bolstern and Gunningen . In 1876 he became pastor in Grünmettstetten and in 1898 in Neuhausen on the Fildern . From 1903 he was cameraman for the Stuttgart chapter and from 1910 dean for the Neuhausen chapter. He was also a co-founder of the Württemberg Center Party.

From 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 17 ( Ravensburg , Tettnang , Saulgau , Riedlingen ) and the German Center Party . The mandate ended with his death.
