Joseph Johann Hubert Werr (* July 23, 1874 in Düren ; † March 22, 1945 in Honnef ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Werr attended the preschool of the grammar school in Koblenz , the grammar schools in Koblenz and Düren and from 1893 to 1896 the universities of Heidelberg , Munich , Berlin and Bonn to study law and political science. In 1896 he became a trainee lawyer and in 1896/97 he was a one-year volunteer in the 2nd Rhenish Field Artillery Regiment No. 23 in Cologne-Riehl. From 1897 to 1901 he was trainee lawyer at Jülich , Aachen , Elberfeld , Düren and Cologne , from 1901 to 1905 court assessor at Düren, Essen , Wegberg , Montjoie , Heinsberg , Wittlich and, from April 1, 1905, a district judge in Merzig . In 1914 he was appointed to the District Court Council.

From May 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Trier 4 ( Saarlouis , Merzig , Saarburg ) and the German Center Party .
