Josephine Loulou Ortleb (born November 25, 1986 in Saarbrücken ) is a German politician ( SPD ). As a directly elected constituency member of the Saarbrücken constituency , she has been a member of the German Bundestag since autumn 2017 .

Life and work

Josephine Ortleb grew up in old Saarbrücken and attended high school at the castle . After graduating from high school, she completed training as a restaurant specialist and completed further training as a specialist in the hospitality industry .

Party and MPs

In 2007 Ortleb joined the SPD . In the meantime, regional manager of Jusos Saar, she was elected to the Saarbrücken city council in the municipal elections in May 2014 for the St. Johann SPD local association , of which she was deputy chairwoman.

In November 2016 she was nominated as a direct candidate for the 2017 federal election in constituency 296 (Saarbrücken) ; In addition, she ran for second place on the Saarland state list. Ortleb sees an important part of her political work in the fight for equality for women.
