Local elections in Saarland 2014
The municipal elections in Saarland 2014 took place on May 25, 2014 . The representatives for district assemblies and the municipal councils or city council assemblies of the cities and municipalities were elected. Honorary and full-time mayors and district administrators were also directly elected. For districts within municipalities, elections were carried out for mayors and local councils . The European Parliament election was held on the same day . At the same time, local elections were held in Baden-Württemberg , Hamburg, North Rhine-Westphalia , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , Rhineland-Palatinate , Brandenburg , Saxony , Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia .
