The Jourre (also known as Jourre Vieille Haute ) is a river in France that runs in the Aude department in the Occitanie region . It rises under the name Ruisseau des Baux on the eastern edge of the Montagne d'Alaric , in the south-western municipality of Moux . It generally drains towards the northeast, after leaving the headwaters it reaches the Corbières landscape with its large vineyards and flows into the Aude after about 22 kilometers in the municipality of Canet as a right tributary .

In its lower reaches, the Jourre crosses important main traffic axes, such as the A61 motorway and the Bordeaux – Sète railway line . The river also accompanies the Lézignan-Corbières airfield and is only around 700 meters from the Canal du Midi at its mouth .
