The Jowat SE is a company based in Detmold , the world produces adhesives for industrial applications and markets.

history

Jowat was founded in 1919 by Johannes Watzlawczik in Breslau . His son-in-law Georg Lobers joined the company in 1932 as jointly responsible manager. After Watzlawczik's death in 1938, his other son-in-law Heinrich Frank took second place in the management. When Germany was redistributed in 1945 as a result of the Second World War, the company settled in Detmold near the woodworking industry.

Jowat today

There are two production sites in Germany, one at the headquarters in Detmold and one in Elsteraue near Leipzig . There are also three affiliated production companies, namely Jowat Swiss AG in Switzerland , Jowat Corporation in the USA , and Jowat Malaysia .

A worldwide sales structure through subsidiaries with their own field service, as well as numerous partner companies, guarantee application-technical support on site. In the past few years, Jowat has reported growth rates of 10 percent per year. With over 1000 employees, a turnover of over 250 million euros was achieved in 2014.

Jowat has been an SE since March 2015 . The reason for this is that increasing internationalization also characterizes the business activities of the Jowat group of companies and that over 75% of group sales are generated outside Germany. Almost half of the approximately 1,000 employees work in production and sales companies that operate worldwide.
