JC Gonzalez
Juan Camilo Gonzalez (born March 8, 1990 in Bogotá ), known professionally as JC Gonzalez , is a Colombian actor and singer-songwriter. His career began in Texas television advertising in 2009 . Gonzalez was also a nominee for Making Menudo , an MTV reality show for which they selected twenty-five bilingual male singers. JC Gonzalez has also made appearances in films and television such as Parks and Recreation and The Americans .
Early years
JC Gonzalez was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He has two younger siblings. Gonzalez was classified as a hyperactive child and was nicknamed "Terremoto" ( earthquake ). At the age of seven, Gonzalez and his family moved to Houston so that his younger brother could receive medical care.
JC Gonzalez attended Clements High School in Sugar Land , Texas.
Career
music
JC Gonzalez recorded both original material and a remix of the song El Perdón by Enrique Iglesias and Nicky Jam . As of 2016, Gonzalez was preparing his debut album entitled AwakIn , which is said to contain songs in English and Spanish with a mixture of Latin rhythms and American rap and pop.
Television and cinema
Gonzalez began his acting career with television commercials in Texas. After graduating from high school, Gonzalez moved to Los Angeles where he began working in commercials and television series. He did television commercials for Ford , Honda and AT&T .
In January 2007, JC Gonzalez auditioned for Making Menudo in Los Angeles. He didn't make it on the show, so he took dance lessons and auditioned in Dallas . There he was selected by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and radio host Daniel Luna as one of the twenty-five contestants who would go to New York, where they were filmed in the Road to Menudo series . Gonzalez was one of 15 in that group to go on the Making Menudo show .
As part of the show, JC Gonzalez was trained in singing and dancing along with fourteen other emerging artists in South Beach for nearly four months.
In 2009, JC Gonzalez appeared in the Parks and Recreation episode Sister City as Jhonny, as an intern in Venezuela.
In 2010 Gonzalez starred in the video of Kaya Rosenthal's "Can't Get You Out of My Head". Gonzalez has also appeared in " Locked Up Abroad, " " Hard Times ," " How To Rock, " and "Parenthood." In 2010, Gonzalez played a role in Victorious in the episode survival of heißesten (ger .: Survival of the Hottest ).
Gonzalez starred in The Americans (English: "Los Americans"), an Internet series that was launched in May 2011. In 2013, Gonzalez appeared on the web series Blue . JC Gonzalez has also worked on other web series, including "Ragdolls" in 2013. In 2015, Gonzalez took on the role of Jake on Navy CIS: New Orleans , on the episode "Blue Christmas".
Private life
Gonzalez currently lives in Los Angeles , California .
