Juan Navarro Baldeweg

Juan Navarro Baldeweg (born June 11, 1939 in Santander , Cantabria ) is a Spanish architect and painter.

biography

Baldeweg studied architecture at the Technical University in Madrid (graduated in 1965) and received his doctorate there in 1969. Today Baldeweg gives lectures on architecture at this university. Prior to that, he lectured at the Universities of Philadelphia, Yale University , Princeton University , Harvard University and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona .

In 1974 he was given a chair at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge (Massachusetts) in the Center for Visual Advanced Studies . In the 1980s he began to realize his own architectural style in the Madrid area. At the moment he is mainly painting and living in seclusion in Jalón (Alicante).
