Judith Chemla
Judith Chemla (* 1984 ) is a French actress .
Life
Chemla grew up in Gentilly near Paris . Her father, a Jewish Tunisian, was a violinist and her mother a lawyer. The parents separated when Chemla was young. She began to learn the violin at the age of seven, but gave up playing the violin at the age of 14 when she discovered the theater for herself at the suggestion of Emmanuel Demarcy-Motta . You already visited at the high school theater courses and broke just before the baccalauréat out of school to play theater. She attended acting courses from Bruno Wacrenier at the Conservatory in the 5th arrondissement , studied at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique with Muriel Mayette until 2007 and trained in lyric singing at the Conservatoire d'Aubervilliers.
From December 2007 to 2009 Chemla was a member of the Comédie-Française , where she appeared in plays by Molière and Pierre Corneille , among others . Since 2011 she has appeared regularly at the Théâtre Bouffes du Nord in Paris . Chemla has also been featured in television and cinema films since 2007. For her role in Noémie Lvovsky's Camille - In Love Again! In 2013 she received a César nomination in the category Best Supporting Actress and won a Prix Lumières for Best Young Actress . Since 2016 (premiere) she has appeared in the lead role in a music theater production of Verdi's Traviata at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord (production by Benjamin Lazar). The piece was also made into a film by Corentin Leconte in 2018.
A son comes from a relationship with actor James Thiérrée .
