Judith Kauffmann

Judith Kauffmann (* 1949 in Neustadt on the Wine Route ) is a German is a journalist and television presenter . She became known u. a. by moderating the SWR state show Rhineland-Palatinate for more than 20 years . She lives in Speyer and has been retired since 2014.

education

Kauffmann, born Judith Seise , attended the Kurfürst-Ruprecht-Gymnasium in her home town in the Palatinate . She then became a freelancer for the Pfälzer Tageblatt , which later appeared in the daily newspaper Die Rheinpfalz . After a stopover at the Speyerer Tagespost , Kauffmann joined Südwestfunk in autumn 1975 , which merged with Süddeutscher Rundfunk to form Südwestrundfunk in 1998 .

At first Kauffmann worked as a radio reporter for the Ludwigshafen studio before she switched to Südwest 3 as a presenter . Again and again she reported live about parades and folk festivals, for example the Neustadter Winzerfestzug , the highlight of the German Wine Festival , and the Rhineland-Palatinate Day . The Glaskasten series took them all over Rhineland-Palatinate . She moderated the leisure magazine Alla hopp and the sports program Floodlight . Since 2005, the show Judith meets once a week has been running within the state show , portraying "normal people in their everyday lives, at work, at their place in life". In July 2014, Kauffmann retired from SWR.

For six years, Kauffmann stood behind the stove with the cook Johann Lafer in the Himmel un Erd series . Her passion for cooking also resulted in her book about the Palatinate Saumagen in 2004 .

Others

For their local ties Kauffmann 2002 at the Bockenheimer dialect days with the price of Emichsburg excellent. In her free time she works on the theater stage as a member of the Neustadt drama group , of which she has been a member since 1964 .
