Judith P. Fischer
Judith P. Fischer (born May 11, 1963 in Linz ) is an Austrian sculptor and draftsman .
life and work
Fischer studied singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (1990 diploma). At the same time she completed her studies in sculpture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna with Wander Bertoni , where she graduated in 1991.
In many of her works, Fischer combines graphic and photographic elements with the plastic or extends the two-dimensional objects into space, redefining the concept of universality and interdisciplinarity. Her art is characterized by a haptic, sometimes sensual impression and contrasting materials, such as B. Steel and silicone . One focus is the drawing, which is placed alongside the objects as a supplement, but also independently. Since 2005 Fischer has realized art projects in public spaces and curated group exhibitions at home and abroad, such as B. 2013 “REIGEN.im.park” in Arthur Schnitzler Park in Baden near Vienna or 2015 “entre.SCULPTURES” in the Maerz Gallery in Linz.
Judith P. Fischer is a member of the Austrian Society of Fine Artists and the IG Bildende Kunst . She lives and works in Vienna and Lower Austria .
