Judith Ringer

Judith Ringer (born February 12, 1967 in Steyr ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since January 30, 2020 she has been a member of the Federal Council delegated by the Upper Austrian Parliament .

Life

education and profession

After elementary school in Kronstorf, Judith Ringer attended the private secondary school for girls Rudigier in Steyr and the HTL Steyr (specialization in communications engineering and electronics), where she graduated with distinction in 1986 . In 1990 she was awarded the status of engineer . From 1986 to 1997 she worked in software engineering and controlling at BMW Motoren Steyr , then she was in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia until 2005 . In 2006 she became assistant to the management of Steyr Trucks Sales and Services International GmbH , of which she has been managing director since 2008.

Ringer received the professional title of Commercial Councilor . She is married and has three children.

politics

Ringer has been the district group chairwoman of the Austrian Economic Association in the Steyr-Land district since 2015 . In 2016 she became deputy regional chairwoman of Frau in der Wirtschaft , local group chairwoman of the local group Waldneukirchen of the Austrian Economic Association and a co-opted member of the regional party conference of the ÖVP Upper Austria . Since 2017 she has been a co-opted member of the city party committee of the ÖVP Steyr. Since 2018 she has been the deputy spokesperson for the Steyrland Initiative. Since 2019 she has also been deputy district party chairman of the ÖVP Steyr-Land and chairwoman of the Steyr-Land Chamber of Commerce .

At the state parliament session on January 30, 2020, she succeeded Doris Schulz as a member sent to the Federal Council by the Upper Austrian state parliament . It was sworn in in the Federal Council on February 13, 2020 . In 2020, she was designated as party chairwoman of the ÖVP Steyr by the city party executive.
